Needless to say I am feeling a little flat.

are you guys doing something special in any case?

Well, I wish you lots of happiness, kate - whether married or not.

I second Sol's sentiments. I think you should take yourself shopping and pamper yourself !

Maybe just put all your emotions aside for today, and enjoy yourself? All of that will still be there tomorrow. Even if you don't feel like being with Charlie today, you should definitely take time out to pamper yourself! Plus, it'll knock Charlie's socks off to see you looking awesome. ;) Serve him right!

Oddly enough that's the night my wife took my child & left. But I did see him briefly on the 30th because my phone was out and I saw him on the 31st so I could take apart a house that he'd out grown and return it to her relatives.

How thoughtful for her to let me see him outside court ordered visitation on such a significant day.

Hope your day turned out well.

Hi guys,

No we are not doing anything to celebrate. We both have a very busy weekend.

Charlie wanted to cancel Saturday night plans and go out, but I just did not want to.

However, things have changed a little here and we have decided to go out next weekend. It is sort of like an anniversary because it is actually Easter, and we were married on Easter weekend.

So next weekend it is.

Heaps to tell you guys, so will try and write a post tonight at work as I am on night shift

Oh, what a rollercoaster it is! Anniversaries for awhile mean something else than they used to. If you are in that up and down zone of "we will we won't", then it is ok to just acknowledge it as a wish and let it be the bittersweet occasion it is. It's ok to let it pass by, with just a gentle and respectful nod. Hope it works out for you either way.
